Whether it was a new take on packaging or a fresh offering to expand a portfolio, there were several eye-catching introductions this month that must be revisited. If spring wasn’t gearing up with a lion’s roar, our industry certainly was…
Sargento® Fun! Balanced Breaks®, Fiesta™ Pepper, and Smokehouse String Cheese™ Snacks
As the saying goes, good things come in threes and Sargento® is proving thus with this snacking expansion. Joining an already award-winning product line, these new flavors boost versatility of choices on the go for anyone from health-conscious, to spice-loving, to savory-seeking. Hook, line, and snacker.
I am all for complementing all of the sticks with each other on my way out the door to enjoy the coming spring and summer weather, so best believe I was thrilled to receive this update from Vermont Smoke & Cure on the meat side, too! And this lineup launch offers four options in a range of flavors accounting for everyone at the party, so you can be sure to include all consumers’ tastes.
Rich Products New Authentically Italian Pizza Portfolio
If the heart of a culture beats in its flavor, Rich Products has made it possible to bring Italy to your stores through the expansion of its Italian-style pizza lineup. We know by now the weight and power authenticity has for shoppers, which this company has been sure to bring to a beloved cuisine that has embedded itself into the U.S. food scene. Also, you can just smell the bread through a photo!
Impossible Foods New Brand Identity and Packaging
Red is the color of boldness. It is adorned when ready to turn all heads in the room, to make a statement, and to stand out. So, it makes complete sense that now, with an award-winning portfolio and a sizable foothold in the global plant-based market, Impossible Foods would ensure its brand identity, and all the packages that showcase it, would wear such a shade. This is a revamp that says to all, “We’re ready for our closeup.”
Califia Farms Packaging Changes
The magnitude of any pack change is felt from start to finish of a company’s supply chain, let alone to revisit the formula of all. Califia Farms, which has quite an expansive portfolio of bottled products, has clocked the immense achievement of transitioning all its bottles in the U.S. and Canada to 100 percent recycled plastic (rPET). Helping reduce its greenhouse gas emissions by at least 19 percent, cutting its energy use in half, and setting an example for sustainable moves made in the industry, this is certainly a launch worth looking at.
