Iowa is upping its grocery game with a new store thanks to Fareway. The retail chain has its eyes set on Norwalk at 2200 Sunset Dr., opening its newest location in the community to replace the location at 1711 Sunset Dr.
“Our new location will serve as the gateway to the Norwalk Central development in the heart of the city, and we want to thank city officials for their commitment to growth with Fareway,” commented Reynolds W. Cramer, Fareway’s Chief Executive Officer. “We look forward to continuing to serve area residents with a larger, updated shopping experience with improved access and aesthetics.”
A groundbreaking ceremony was held on March 30, celebrating the new location that will sit on 24,000 square feet. As noted in the release, site work has begun, with anticipated construction completion in early 2024. The new, larger store footprint will boast a modern look, with more natural lighting and improved aesthetics, better access and parking, and energy efficiencies, such as rooftop solar panels.
Fareway’s new store will continue to provide what Norwalk area customers have come to know and expect at Fareway—farm-fresh produce; low, competitive prices; the highest level of customer service; and only the best in high-quality meat.
