Ficacci Olive Company's Giuseppe Ficacci Details IDDBA 2022 Showcase

I know of several members of our DMN team who will be the first to visit the olive section at the upcoming International Dairy Deli Bakery (IDDBA) show. One supplier we will gladly find there is Ficacci Olive Company, which says that Atlanta, Georgia, is the perfect place to show off its PaperTray® and 1964 offerings.

Giuseppe Ficacci, Co-Owner, Ficacci Olive Company“PaperTray is a fancy plate of olives for fancy tables—completing a charcuterie board with tasty fresh olives, or as a quick appetizer with sparkling wine. Easy recyclability features allow the top plastic to be removed while the paper bottom is recyclable,” said Giuseppe Ficacci, Co-Owner. “The 1964 line is a perfect addition to on-the-go retail sets, vending, and foodservice offers. The personal-sized plastic pack offers 2.2 oz of olives in a single layer, without water or oil, making for a simple and delicious eating occasion. Both lines have an easily peelable-resealable top film and are both liquidless.”

Giuseppe shared that since Ficacci’s first IDDBA participation back in 2016, the team noticed the strong business drive of this particular show, focusing mainly on networking, education, and business growth opportunities. In his words, IDDBA is an event in which international companies such as Ficacci can bid on uncharted roads to grow in the United States food market.

“We hope to generate interest mainly from deli category reps and buyers from American retailers in both prepackaged offers and olive bars through our new groovy eco-friendly packs,” he continued. “We are strong on the fact that our current distribution can deliver almost anywhere in the U.S.A.

According to Giuseppe, Ficacci’s goal is mainly customer-driven—introducing more of its products to retail consumers and increasing the overall market share while developing and promoting through the new innovative eco-friendly lines. The company plans to do all of this with an eye fixed on the future.

“We believe the main takeaway foodies will store following their visit to booth #1616 is the impact on them by the new PaperTray, a perfect balance of beauty and efficiency developed to improve our eco friendliness without compromising with Italian elegance,” Giuseppe divulged.

For further support in promoting its products, Ficacci also has a commercial that will be bolstering retailers in-store.

If you plan to be in Atlanta June 5–7, be sure to swing by booth #1616 for all of this and more.
