Firehook Preps for Winter Fancy Food Show; Kari Ball Comments

Monday, January 24th, 2022

Less than a month stands between us and the Winter Fancy Food Show. As the Deli Market News team gears up, we touched base with Firehook, an organic cracker company that packs a crunchy punch. Kari Ball, the operation’s Marketing Manager, let me know what show-goers can expect when they hit the floor.

Kari Ball, Marketing Manager, Firehook“We’ll be showcasing our full line of addictively crunchy, organic, baked crackers, and we are also excited to announce the soft launch of a few additional items that we will be introducing at this year’s show,” Kari said. “Our focus this year will be on sharing passions for good food and celebrating everyone’s individual accomplishments. We are looking forward to sharing positive energy with others and gratitude for the opportunity to come together once again to do good work for the specialty food industry.”

A preview of the new items will be available at the ‘What's New in Specialty Food!’ Product Showcase on the Specialty Food Association (SFA) show floor. Those attending in person will be able to stop by Firehook’s booth #3811 in the Virginia Specialty Food Pavilion.

“Firehook has been a member of the Specialty Food Association since 2012, making this our 11th year of Fancy Food Shows! We look forward to establishing and growing long-lasting partnerships, many of which start out as a simple introduction on the show floor. The Fancy Food Show is also the perfect way to keep our fingers on the pulse of our ever-growing industry,” Kari noted.

For a company with 30 years at its back, Firehook knows the importance of building relationships across the industry. Its story began in 1992 as a neighborhood bread and coffee house, serving fresh sourdough bread and locally roasted coffee to Washington, DC, and Virginia communities.

“We were first developed as a way to help local restaurants minimize waste and add shelf life and variety to their nightly bread baskets. Today and every day at Firehook, we continue the tradition of baking fresh artisanal bread and pastries for our stores alongside our freshly baked-to-order Firehook Organic Baked Crackers,” Kari commented.

To honor this 30 years of artisanal baking, Firehook promises to keep innovating and exercising its creativity. You won’t want to miss this booth!
