A new addition has landed in the Forever Cheese portfolio. The company recently unveiled the launch of Wooly Wooly® Black Truffle, one of the first imported fresh cheese logs from Spain to hit the United States market.
“Our fresh Wooly Wooly cheeses are uniquely positioned in the market and their popularity continues to grow since we first introduced them,” explains Marketing Manager Chelsea Bryant. “Black Truffle is an elevated yet accessible take on the fresh cheese log and can be used so many ways in the kitchen or simply and stunningly paired with crackers on a cheese plate.”
The cheese is known for its provenance, quality, and value, a release explained. Each Wooly Wooly fresh sheep’s milk log is made with sheep’s milk from local farms in Jumilla, Spain. This rich milk contributes to the cheese’s prominent sweetness, hint of tang, and soft, spreadable texture. The addition of black truffle also adds an earthy umami note.
The cheese is a collaboration between Forever Cheese and producer Central Quesera Montesinos, with whom they’ve developed such cheeses as The Drunken Goat®, Naked Goat®, and The Truffle Kid™.
Wooly Wooly is available in Plain, Everything Seasoning, Five Pepper Blend, and now Black Truffle. Chervil and Espelette varieties are sold exclusively at Whole Foods. The cheese comes in 5 oz logs and is sold in grocery and specialty stores throughout the United States.
