The GIANT Company is bolstering its leadership ring with a slew of promotions across its team. As the retailer eyes ongoing growth in popular services like online ordering and grocery delivery, GIANT is making moves to strengthen its omnichannel strategies.
Current Divisional Vice President of Greater Philadelphia Manuel Haro has been promoted to Vice President of Finance and Strategy. According to a release, Haro started with the company back in 2012 and has nearly two decades of retail and consumer packaged goods experience. In his new role, he will oversee finance, real estate, and strategy and will report directly to President Nicholas Bertram.
Joanna Crishock will also be taking on a new Vice President role. She has been promoted to the role of Vice President of Marketing and Commercial Planning. Most recently, she served as Director of Strategy and Chief of Staff to Bertram. Crishock joined the company in 2010 and has more than 18 years of experience in customer-centric roles.
In her new position, Crishock will lead elements of the brand experience such as brand strategy, circular, design, loyalty, and social media, in addition to the brand’s e-commerce strategy and commercial planning. She will report directly to Vice President of Commercial John Ruane.
With over 18 years of experience, former Director of E-Commerce Operations Daren Russ has been promoted to Vice President of Omnichannel Operations. In this new position, he will lead customer support, e-commerce operations, pharmacy operations, and store support. He has been with the company since 2016 and will report to Glennis Harris, Senior Vice President, Customer Experience.
Tim Santoro, a 25-year GIANT Company veteran, has also been promoted. He will be taking on the role of Divisional Vice President of Greater Philadelphia and succeeding Haro. Santaro most recently served as Regional Director for 19 GIANT stores in Lancaster and York counties in Pennsylvania, and in his new position, will oversee daily retail operations and store teams of more than 90 GIANT locations. He will report directly to Harris.
Rounding out the list of celebrated leaders is April Mock, Director of Communications and Corporate Social Responsibility, who has added Chief of Staff to the President to her title. She joined the company in 2015 and oversees external and internal communications in addition to the retailer’s corporate social responsibility efforts. Mock will continue to report to Jennifer Heinzen Krueger, Vice President of Team Experience, as well as supporting Bertram.
As these leaders assume their new roles, Bertram commented on the promotions.
“Today’s appointments are the intended result of our ongoing investment in our greatest asset—our team members,” he said. “By growing through these new opportunities, each of these leaders will deepen their current abilities and hone new skill sets while propelling our omnichannel strategy forward, positioning The GIANT Company for long-term growth and success. I’m incredibly proud of all that Manuel, Joanna, John, Daren, Tim, and April have achieved so far and look forward to seeing how they will continue to positively impact our business, teams, customers, and communities for the better in their new roles.”
Congratulations to these leaders on their company advancement!
