International Dairy Deli Bakery Association and American Cheese Society Team Up On Certified Salumiere Professional Exam; Miles Allen and Tara Holmes Comment

An opportunity has emerged to join an elite group of industry experts. The International Dairy Deli Bakery Association (IDDBA) has announced it is teaming up with the American Cheese Society (ACS) to offer another in-person Certified Salumiere Professional (CSP) exam.

Miles Allen, Education Coordinator, IDDBA “The elite exam is known throughout the industry as a tremendous way to elevate skill sets and knowledge,” said Miles Allen, IDDBA Education Coordinator.

Allen further clarified in a press release that this recognition has increased demand, noting this is what led to the partnership with ACS returning. Tara Holmes, American Cheese Society, echoed the benefits of the partnership.

The exam will be offered July 10, 2024 in conjunction with the ACS 2024 Annual Conference in Buffalo, NY. Allen added the first 2024 in-person exam will be held at IDDBA 2024, in Houston, TX.

The comprehensive exam encompasses product knowledge, merchandising techniques and consumer expectations that create the art of charcuterie.
