Klondike Cheese Company Wins Big at World Championship Cheese Contest; Adam and Steve Buholzer Comment

The 2024 World Championship Cheese Contest results are rolling in, and a big congratulations goes out to big wins by Klondike Cheese Company, which took home one Best in Class title, two second place awards, and four third place honors.

Steve Buholzer, Master Cheesemaker, Klondike Cheese“It is a great feeling to get the recognition and we hope that all our valued milk patrons and employees feel proud as everyone has an important hand in making this possible,” Steve Buholzer, Vice President and one of the five Master Cheesemakers at Klondike Cheese, commented on the news.

Adam Buholzer, Vice President of Production, reflected on the Best of Class honors, which went to the company’s Odyssey Labneh.

We couldn’t be prouder of the great taste and quality of our Labneh and that the judges agreed!” Buholzer said.

  • Odyssey Peppercorn Feta cheese - Second in Class
  • Odyssey Mediterranean Feta - Third Place
  • Odyssey Tzatziki Dip - Third Place
  • Buholzer Brothers Smoked Gouda and Dill Havarti - Third Place

Klondike Cheese Company took home one Best in Class title, two second place awards, and four third place honors at this year's World Championship Cheese Contest

This year marked the 35th bi-annual World Championship Cheese Contest in Madison, Wisconsin. Proudly holding the title as the largest cheese contest of its kind, the event boasted a total of 3302 entries competing in 142 classes, with 400 dairy manufacturers from 25 countries and 32 American states entered.

Congratulations to the Klondike team for successfully standing out amid such a crowd!
