Kroger has another new store popping up in Texas, bringing its latest location to the city of Plano. The store is set to open in late 2024.
“We first opened our store on Coit Road in Plano in 2005, and nearly 20 years later, we look forward to welcoming the community to our new and improved Marketplace store across the street,” said Kroger Dallas Division President Keith Shoemaker. “Our new Marketplace store in Plano will feature the very best that Kroger has to offer.”
Construction officially began on the new marketplace store located in north Plano on September 20, bringing a 124,000-square-foot store to the region, according to reports from Community Impact.
The new marketplace location will feature a full-service grocery, along with a Starbucks kiosk, Murray’s Cheese counter, and more. It is expected to create 100–150 jobs in the area.
New Kroger stores are also planned for Fort Worth and Melissa, Texas, according to the source. Both locations are also expected to open in late 2024.
DMN will continue to track Kroger’s ambitious expansion plays, so be on the lookout for our next update.
