Ushering in the fanciest foods from across the specialty sector, the Winter Fancy Food Show (WFFS) reminds us all of the pure talent and creativity that exists in our industry. Laura Chenel is among those who will be gracing the show floor come February, and National Sales Director BJ Frank revealed some of the details to me.
“We will showcase our various premium goat cheeses including our new high-velocity 4 oz log range, which now features eight varieties such as the Fig & Grapefruit and Cranberry flavors that can be used as everyday items. We will also highlight our Everything Bagel Chabis, which we launched in 2021 but have not been able to showcase due to the pandemic,” BJ said. “Our line of foodservice products will also be on display, as our restaurant customers have reopened around the country. Lastly, we are very excited to relaunch our Laura Chenel Probiotic Goat Yogurt.”
Sounds like one bustling booth! I know the Deli Market News team will be sure to swing by. BJ and I agree that coming face to face with other industry members is one of the most exciting things about trade events.
“I look forward to reconnecting physically with our customers, seeing our community of artisan cheesemakers, and looking for the new trends on the market,” he added. “As this will be the first in-person event in nearly two years, I think it is important for all industry members, who feel safe in doing so, to do our part to support our trade and our customers.”
Laura Chenel has continued to innovate throughout the challenges of these past two years, which is exemplified by its expanded line of flavored goat cheese logs. The company’s perseverance is clearly close to BJ’s heart, as he also shone a light on the challenges many producers are currently facing.
“From the drought and increased prices for feed, to supply chain issues for packaging and ingredients, and overall staffing shortages and hiring needs, it’s a time where we can all appreciate the hard work and dedication that each artisan producer attending the show must go through in order to prosper in today’s climate,” he concluded.
That is exactly what makes this upcoming WFFS such a special one. For more coverage of the event, stick with us here at Deli Market News.
