Two decades of transformative leadership experience is what Nicole Johnson-Hoffman is bringing to Meati Foods™ as its newest Board Member. The animal-free meat producer has added the food and agriculture luminary to its team, tapping into her expertise to continue scaling its operations.
“I’m frustrated when I see brands, interest groups, and other organizations put the onus of change on the consumer, asking them to shop our way out of problems caused by the food industry,” said Johnson-Hoffman. “It’s the responsibility of incumbent industry leaders and disruptors like Meati to bring solutions that work for consumers. Meati is nailing it, and I’m thrilled to partner with such a great group of people who are doing great things.”
Most recently, Johnson-Hoffman served as Chief Executive Officer of cultivated meat company Believer Meats, a release explained. Her career has spanned roles across industry names like Cargill and OSI, giving her vast knowledge when it comes to the global beef industry, its most dynamic supply chains, and how to make them more sustainable.
Meati Foods aims to continue growing its fully vertical integrated manufacturing capabilities to support rapid development in the coming months in both retail and foodservice locations.
