Newly Formed Concord National LLP Announces Restructured Leadership Team; Tony Luongo Comments

Coming together to create one strategically aligned entity, Canadian food brokers Concord National and Indigo Natural Products have merged to form Concord National LLP. To support this new endeavor, the company has announced that it has restructured it executive team to bolster growth across its operations and for its clients.

Stepping into the role of President is Tony Luongo, a leader in the food industry since 1982, as noted in a press release. Throughout his career, Luongo has held positions at Scott Paper and Canada Bread, and in his new station will lead and support the executive leadership teams for both conventional and natural products brokerage divisions.

It’s an incredibly exciting time for our group. We have the senior leadership team and structure in place to successfully lead traditional and natural product brands into the rapidly changing grocery industry.”

Joining Luongo as part of the executive team is Lindsay Weatherdon, new Executive Vice President. Wielding 35 years of packaged good expertise, he will work directly with the company’s senior leadership group to deliver value to clients and customers across Canada.

Krista Cunningham will continue to lead the natural products sector for the company as General Manager of the Indigo Natural Product Division. Stuart Bosch will assume the role of Vice President of Client Management, and Ernie DeCarlo will continue in his role as Vice President National Accounts. Sebastian Descoteaux will take on the responsibilities of Vice President Regional Accounts, and Bret VanDeWalle will serve as Vice President Retail Operations.

In addition to restructuring its executive team, Corcord National LLP has also undergone a branding upgrade including updated brand voice, logos, an updated website, and a full suite of marketing materials.

Ernie DeCarlo, Sebastian Descoteaux, and Bret VanDeWalle will serve in their respective Vice President roles in this new restructure

Grocery and food brands under Concord National LLP include Mazola, Nature’s Path, David’s Tea, and Sun-Maid within the Concord National Division. Within the Indigo portfolio Bob’s Red Mill, Amy’s Kitchen, Sol Cuisine, and Salt Spring Coffee. In total, the newly merged group represents over $600 million in wholesale sales.
