Enter Spreadable Port Wine Cheddar.
“Port Wine offers a valued addition to the line and represents a significant opportunity for us in this category,” shares Ken Meyers, President of Trugman-Nash. “Consumers are looking for exciting new flavors and culinary experiences, and this product delivers on that demand.”
The new Spreadable Port Wine Cheddar offering is a natural addition to the Old Croc line of spreadable cheddars. It’s made with the company’s popular Australian Aged Cheddar Cheese and is produced with 100 percent Cheddar cheese.
The product also offers a longer shelf-life in the deli case, as it can be enjoyed up to one year from the date of manufacture.
“Port Wine Spreadable Cheddar is very versatile. In addition to the usual charcuterie boards and everyday snacking with items like crackers and baguette, it’s perfect for use as a culinary ingredient in recipes, like spreading on grilled cheese or paninis,” Ken adds. “As a sandwich spread, it goes great with chicken, ham, or turkey. Displaying it in the deli department near ingredients like jams and spread and pestos or other cooking ingredients encourages a whole new use beyond cheeseboards.”
