The Raley’s Companies Promotes Chelsea Minor to Vice President of Community Impact and Public Affairs; Keith Knopf Comments

We found a familiar name in the title of a recent announcement from The Raley’s Companies. Marketing maven Chelsea Minor has been promoted to a new role, being named Vice President of Community Impact and Public Affairs.

Since joining the Raley’s team in 2015, Minor has represented The Raley’s Companies in the public and political sphere, a press release explained. In her newest role, she will oversee public relations, governmental affairs, communications, community impact, and sustainability, leading the strategy and direction for the entire enterprise. In addition, she will also run the company’s charitable foundation, Raley’s Food for Families, in collaboration with Julie Teel.

Minor has held various leadership roles across the company’s trade areas of California, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico, and four Tribal Nations, including TRC divisions Raley’s and Bashas’.

Before joining The Raley’s Companies, Minor worked for KP Public Affairs, where she supported California companies with public affairs and public relations services. She started in California politics as a fellow in the Jesse M. Unruh Assembly Fellowship Program and worked in the California State Assembly. Currently, she is the Chair of the California Retailers Association, Chair of the Metro Chamber Political Action Committee (PAC), and a public appointee for the California Cattle Council.

Some of her key accomplishments in recent years include playing an instrumental role in facilitating the organization’s growth with several key acquisitions. Minor also serves as one of TRC Shared Service leaders, developing and executing the company’s consumer, public affairs, and brand reputation strategies for the enterprise.
