Whether from a view of 40,000 feet, or down to a single company, a key component to our industry’s growth and success is the people that fuel it. Raley’s latest announcement spotlights this, as the retailer polishes off a sequence of strategic moves with the promotion of experienced industry veteran Laura Croff to Senior Vice President of People.
Croff brings over 20 years of human resources experience to her new role, 13 of which have been in service to Raley’s team in various roles, both in human resources and labor relations.
She was previously promoted within Raley’s from Senior Director of Human Resources to Vice President of People in December of 2018, her most recent role prior to this latest change.
For her latest position, Croff will be responsible for all aspects of Raley’s human resources strategy, including talent management, leadership development, labor relations, compensation, and benefits, according to a press release. In this, she will work closely with the Executive Committee to ensure Raley’s continues to elevate a culture that attracts, retains, and develops the best teams.
“A proven professional, Laura is dedicated to ensuring Raley’s is a place where team members thrive,” said Keith Knopf, Raley’s President and CEO. “Her focus on our business strategies and team member experience and ongoing dedication to advancing Raley’s social responsibility have and will continue to make a difference.”
All within one month, Raley’s announced that it launched a new banner, converted a store into a dark store format, signed a lease for a new store, and now boosted a new leader for its company culture.
