We were excited to learn that Schaller & Weber has launched four new vegan pâtés and spreads: Gold Medal Pâté, Mushroom Pâté, Bell Pepper Pâté, and Tomato Basil Spread. These products are organic, shelf-stable, and imported from Germany, ensuring the same high quality and authenticity customers associate with Schaller & Weber.
“Earlier in the year, we began importing our pickles and sauerkraut from Germany. Once we became comfortable with that import process, we decided to seek out more unique European products that not only bolster our selection but also fill gaps in the market,” Jeremy Schaller, President and Chief Executive Officer, told me. “These pâtés are a great fit—they’re fantastic for a cheese plate catering to vegetarians, or they can stand shoulder to shoulder with our meats on a charcuterie board. What really drew us to them was their incredible flavor and the fact that they don’t need refrigeration, which is a game-changer for charcuterie lovers. The plant-based and organic aspects were just the icing on the cake.”
According to Jeremy, Schaller & Weber has been focused on finding products that add something special to its lineup while addressing the needs in the market.
“These pâtés hit that sweet spot. They’re practical, high-quality, reasonably priced, and offer something truly distinctive for our customers,” he continued. “And the packaging really brings it all together. We went with an Art Nouveau-inspired design and illustrations to highlight the premium nature of the product while giving it a look that stands apart from our core line. It’s a small detail, but it ties into our goal of making these pâtés as special on the outside as they are on the inside.”
The company has always been about offering the best, whether it’s a traditional bratwurst or something totally new like these pâtés. In fact, the company also recently launched its new Käsekrainer sausages in partnership with Jarlsberg®.
