2022 has been a year of adding distinguished new accolades to the trophy case—if you’re Schuman Cheese, that is. The cheesemaker has been gaining recognition in the prestigious cheese space for 75 years now, and the past year has been filled with coveted new awards from the World Championship Cheese Contest, World Dairy Expo, American Cheese Society Competition, Wisconsin State Fair, and International Cheese Awards.
“We are honored to be recognized as a premier maker of cheese across so many categories this year,” said Christophe Megevand, Master Cheesemaker. “At Schuman, we strive to bring the highest quality cheese products to consumers’ kitchens—that goal is at the heart of everything we do. To be awarded for our craftsmanship within the industry makes us extremely proud. It pushes us to continue to innovate and build on our already strong line up of cheeses.”
This year, Schuman Cheese took home first, second, and third place awards in the Parmesan category at the 2022 World Championship Cheese Contest. At the 2022 World Dairy Expo, the supplier also nabbed the title of Grand Champion for its Cello™ Mascarpone. Other players in the cheesemaker’s portfolio that received awards in 2022 include:
With these awards under its belt, Schuman Cheese is looking to further innovate its portfolio of cheeses, bolstering its Cello and Bella Rosa™ brands with classic offerings like Cello Copper Kettle Parmesan, in addition to expanding into rising food categories with brands like Vevan™ and Delve™ chocolate mascarpone truffles.
Congratulations to Schuman Cheese on such a successful 2022! As the company’s lineup continues to evolve, I’m sure more recognition is in store for this long-standing cheesemaker.
