Smithfield Foods Announces New $74 Million Distribution Center in Cecil County, Maryland


ANAPOLIS, MD
Tuesday, April 2nd, 2019

One of the biggest names in protein, Smithfield Foods, has announced plans to build a new 420,00-square-foot state-of-the-art distribution center in Cecil County, Maryland. The facility, according to the Baltimore Sun, is expected to cost $74 million dollars and work to better support Smithfield’s daily operations and improve service to its customers in the Northeast.

The new $74 million distribution center will be located along the Interstate 95 corridor, in the Principio Business Park, allowing the company to better service partners in the Northeast.
