SpartanNash is continuing to focus on bolstering its distribution business with its latest leadership appointment. Recently, the food solutions company named Greg Crane to the Vice President, Finance – Food Distribution role as of June 6.
Crane brings over 15 years of financial and operational experience to the role, with heightened expertise in financial management, strategic and financial planning, mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, and performance optimization. Most recently, he served as the Chief Financial Officer for GHSP, according to a press release, and prior to that, he spent nearly six years in a variety of financial and leadership positions at Wolverine World Wide.
As VP, Finance – Food Distribution, Crane will serve as finance business partner to Bennett Morgan, Senior Vice President and Chief Merchandising Officer. He will take leadership over budgeting, forecasting, monthly results analysis, and risk and opportunity assessment activities for SpartanNash’s distribution business.
In this VP position, Crane will also provide leadership and financial guidance on broad strategic initiatives and day-to-day opportunities as the company seeks to improve efficiency and reduce operating expenses.

Crane holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business and an undergraduate degree in Finance and Accounting from Miami University.
