Cheddar is the topic of discussion today, and Tillamook County Creamery Association is showcasing its excellence in the popular cheese category. As the World Cheese Awards brought together cheesemakers, retailers, buyers, and food commentators from across the globe to judge over 4,000 cheeses from more than 40 countries, the co-op took home big wins for several White Cheddar varieties.
“It’s incredibly rewarding when Tillamook products are recognized and awarded, especially when you consider that the World Cheese Awards is the world's largest cheese competition,” said Jill Allen, the Tillamook County Creamery Association’s Director of Product Excellence, exclusively to DMN.
At this year’s competition in Norway, Tillamook garnered one gold, two silver, and one bronze award for its White Cheddar products. According to a recent release, the company took home awards for the following offerings:
“At Tillamook, we pride ourselves on being good stewards of the land, using quality ingredients, and never cutting corners,” Allen continued. “Our products taste better because they're made right.”
Congratulations to Tillamook on another exciting win to pad its already impressive portfolio!
