US Foods Agrees to Acquire IWC Food Service; Dave Flitman and Bob Mackie Detail

We here at DMN know that you love to hear about the industry’s latest acquisitions, so we are happy to bring you news of the most recent deal made by US Foods. The distributor is continuing to pursue its tuck-in acquisition strategy, announcing plans to acquire IWC Food Service. The transaction will allow US Foods to further expand its reach into the central Tennessee region, where it does not currently have a distribution center.

According to a press release, IWC Food Service has more than $200 million in annual revenue and serves more than 2,700 independent restaurants, which make up more than half of its business, as well as other customers. After the acquisition, the company will continue to operate in the 160,000-square-foot facility where it conducts business today and will also continue service at the local Cookeville Cash-and-Carry store.

US Foods Holding Corp. recently announced its acquisition of IWC Food Service

Pending regulatory approval, the acquisition is expected to close in the second quarter of 2024. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
