Fifty years ago, a legacy began when Three Little Pigs opened its storefront in New York on June 2, 1975. Since then, the brand has continued to expand its reach, bolstering the Village Gourmet portfolio. During this year’s IDDBA show, Village Gourmet highlighted its beloved Three Little Pigs lineup and more, welcoming attendees into a world of opportunity.
“For more than 50 years, we’ve been head-over-hooves in love with flavor! Only the finest ingredients and time-honored recipes make it onto the Three Little Pigs shortlist of deliciousness,” explained Claudia Dionne, Director of Marketing. “Quality is at the heart of everything we do—from sourcing ingredients to every handcrafted detail. Our passion for sharing flavor and artisanal products remains as strong today as it was when it all began.”
To mark this momentous milestone, Village Gourmet will be celebrating throughout the entire month of June.
Village Gourmet offers a unique and versatile portfolio that spans both retail and foodservice, allowing the supplier to reach a broad range of customers and meet diverse market demands.
“From our Pre-Sliced Jambon de Paris and authentic dry-cured meats, ideal for building premium charcuterie boards, to our ready-to-eat meals and convenient Sous-Vide Egg Bites, we provide high-quality options that are both practical and indulgent,” Claudia added. “What retailers appreciate about Village Gourmet is that we offer such a wide selection of products and categories that their shoppers can create an exceptionally complete charcuterie board—not just dry-cured meats, but also pâté, rillettes, jambons, accompaniments like cornichons and Petits Toasts, and now even cheese.”
“Whether shoppers are looking for everyday staples, entertaining essentials, or quick gourmet solutions, our brands deliver products that fit into any grocery basket and suit any occasion,” Claudia continued. “This flexibility is what makes Village Gourmet a valuable partner for retailers aiming to offer variety, quality, and convenience to their customers.”
Village Gourmet showcased a wide portfolio across five of its brands during the recent IDDBA show. These included two French-style charcuterie brands—Three Little Pigs and Fabrique Delices—and three sausage brands: Longhini Sausage Co., Uncle Charley’s, and Esposito’s. Show attendees got a closer look at the company’s classic pâtés, Gourmet Meals, and Sous-Vide Egg Bites, along with a variety of other enticing offerings.
“We’ve been exhibiting at IDDBA for decades with our French charcuterie brands, Three Little Pigs and Fabrique Delices. Returning each year is a great opportunity for us to connect with retailers and showcase our wide range of products. It’s also an excellent way to introduce our new products, which we’re very proud of,” said Maha Freij, President of Three Little Pigs. “IDDBA is a show full of opportunities for brands: a chance to highlight what makes them unique and why they’re worth it for today’s shoppers.”
A few new product innovations were also on display, as Village Gourmet also spotlighted its Petits Pâtés, featuring two bestsellers, Mousse Truffée and Mousse de Foie de Canard au Porto, in convenient mini formats; a Double Crème Brie cheese imported directly from France; a new Gourmet Meal recipe: Creamy Peppercorn Beef with green beans; Pork Rillettes; and a range of flavored butters including Garlic & Herbs Butter, Lemon & Peppercorn Butter, and the essential Sea Salt butter.
With quality and flavor driving the success of its expansive portfolio, Village Gourmet is helping retailers maximize register rings across multiple categories in the specialty space. For more industry news, keep reading DMN.
