Come on down to Anaheim, California, to get your fix of all things specialty food! The International Dairy Deli Bakery Association’s (IDDBA) upcoming trade show is taking place June 2–4, bringing together buyers and suppliers to network and share ideas. Volpi Foods is one supply-side rep that will be exhibiting, and I was lucky enough to get the inside scoop.
“Volpi will be showcasing a variety of formats,” said Claire Donohue, Product Marketing Specialist. “This will include products from our sliced line, as well as snackable charcuterie and chopped items. Our big highlights will be our new Eco-Pack™ that is now made with 80 percent less plastic than traditional deli packaging. We also have a few new items that attendees will be able to view when they visit the Volpi booth that are really exciting.”
As Claire told me, IDDBA showcases the newest technology and innovation in the deli, dairy, and bakery space. It’s a great way for industry members to learn about the newest trends by seeing them firsthand at exhibitor booths and the education events throughout the show.
“Our team always enjoys attending IDDBA. This year, we are looking forward to learning more about the new and upcoming trends in the deli space, as well as talking with attendees about our line of hand-crafted charcuterie,” Claire added. “IDDBA always does a great job merchandising the WISL space, so we look forward to checking that out this year as well.”
Some of Volpi’s goals for the show are to meet with retailers and highlight the benefits of its brand. The company also has some employees who will be receiving awards, so the team will be there to support the talent they bring to the industry.
“We want the attendees to see the steps Volpi is taking as a brand to move the deli space toward more sustainable materials, animal welfare standards, and diversity among brands. We also want them to be able to try our products and taste firsthand what makes Volpi charcuterie stand out to shoppers in retail and convenience spaces,” Claire concluded.
Our team looks forward to visiting the Volpi booth at IDDBA this year. Will we see you there?
