Alexian Patés , Leelanau Cheese

ALEXIAN Patés and Specialty Meats takes great pride and care in making its patés and mousses. With spring nearly here, colorful flowers, fruits, and vegetables are about to blossom, which mean means dark, subdued colors are out and bright cheerfulness is in, according to the company. Alexian patés are the perfect food to serve with color. Its chicken, pork, vegetable, and seafood patés and terrines feature earthy, hushed tones that form a delightful canvas that makes brightly colored accompaniments and table settings really pop. Suttons Bay, Michigan-based, Leelanau Cheese may be small, but it produces a cheese that has taken home one of the biggest awards in the industry. Leelanau Cheese produces a line of specialty Swiss and French style homemade cheeses and produces 25,000 to 30,000 pounds of cheese a year using traditional methods. In 2007, the company’s Raclette, a sweet cheese true to its original recipe, won Best of Show at the American Cheese Society Competition, with a score of 100. Anne Hoyt Co-Founder tells Delimarket.TV,“We are moving the creamery to a different location, a little south from where we are, to increase production. We are very excited about this new project, and are planning on moving in the Fall.”
