Golden Cannoli Chip & Dip , Pineland Farms New Foodservice Offering

Golden Cannoli’s new Chip & Dip offering is receiving more and more attention. The product is a dessert spin off of your average tortilla chip, dusted in powdered sugar and dipped in cannoli filling. To accommodate demand for this product and increasing Cannoli awareness, the company is moving to a new facility in Chelsea, Massachusetts roughly 3 times the size of its current one, allowing Golden Cannoli to increase their production capacity. Owner and Vice President, Valerie Bono, said, “This is an exciting time for us. The move is slated to be completed in August of 2013 and will allow us to better serve the needs of our customers.” Pineland Farms has grown its lines of distribution nationwide in the past year and is working to expand business with retailers like Kroger, Safeway, and H-E-B. The company is also introducing a line of sliced cheeses for foodservice, offering artisan craft cheese with the efficiency of interleaved slices. The sliced cheeses come in cheddar, baby Swiss, and three pepper jack. Neal Kolterman, Vice President Sales & Marketing, tells Delimarket.TV “Artisan sliced cheeses in large quantities are rare in foodservice, so we feel we’re offering something new to a niche market. We are also co-branding with the Whole Foods Brand to create a Hatch Chili Jalapeno cheese for the distribution in the company’s Southwest and Southern Pacific regions.
