Kontos, a manufacturer and distributor of traditional Mediterranean foods recently launched French-Style Traditional and Savory Crepes. Low in calories and fats, the crepes can be used to create healthy sandwiches, appetizers, meals, and desserts. Vice President, Steve Kontos, said quote, "With less than half the carbs of a plain wrap, and one-third the carbs of a hoagie roll, our Crepes offer consumers a healthier alternative to create a delicious sandwich wrap, an impressive European-style meal, delicate hors d'oeuvres or unique desserts." Kontos offers crepes refrigerated or frozen for both retail and foodservice stores.
Joseph Gallo Farms has close out 2012 with an incredible 30 awards for its dairy products. The honors include 17 gold medals, and a first place World Dairy Expo award for the Joseph Farms whey protein isolate. Among the gold medal winners are the company's newest cheeses -- Chipotle Cheddar, Jalapeño Muenster, Italian Garden Jack, Caraway Cheddar and Reduced Fat Monterey Jack. Peter Gallo, Director of Operations, states, "We really love what we do and we are always trying to perfect our craft."
