Pilgrim's Pride Invests $25m in Alaska, Vermont Creamery Butter Obsession Contest
Pilgrim's Pride Corporation is investing $25 million in the state of Alabama. The investment includes the construction of a new feed mill facility in Pinckard, as well as a $10 million dollar renovation of Pilgrim's poultry processing facility in Enterprise. Jayson Penn, Executive Vice President of Sales and Operations, states, "This significant investment is consistent with our strategy of relentless pursuit of operational excellence and will improve our efficiencies, cost structure and competitiveness, while creating a safer work environment for our employees."
Vermont Creamery is encouraging consumers to send in their best butter obsession story for a chance to win a year's supply of butter. Grand prize winners will receive monthly shipments of Vermont Creamery's European-style Cultured Butter, Cultured Butter with Sea Salt and Maple, and the award-winning Sea Salt Cultured Butter.
