Famous Dave’s of America, an American West-themed barbecue chain, has named a new leading executive to continue revamping the company brand.
Adam Wright, the former interim CEO for Famous Dave’s, will now officially take up the mantle after the resignation of Ed Rensi in June 2015. Since being named to the position, Wright has already led numerous efforts to undo the “poor decisions” made by prior management in months past. Such turnaround initiatives include larger portions, new menu options, and affordable lunch items. Since these changes were implemented, the company’s overall satisfaction increased among guests.
“We are impressed with the steps Adam has taken to move the business forward since his appointment as interim CEO six months ago,” said Joseph Jacobs, Chairman of the Board of Directors. “As a longtime investor, he understands the challenges that the Company faces and the opportunities ahead. We are confident in his leadership and strategy for the future.”
Wright has served on the company’s Board of Directors since 2013, while serving as Managing Partner of Blue Clay Capital Management, a Minneapolis-based investment partnership he co-founded.

With Wright in charge, the Famous Dave’s Board of Directors is confident in his vision for the company and the strategies he is implementing toward future growth.
