Togo's has introduced a new line of $5 Sandwich Wraps, offering two varieties: Bacon Chicken Ranch and Spicy Asian Pork. The company says the new additions are in response to the growing trend of grab-and-go meals.
"Many of today's health-conscious guests prefer to order sandwiches as wraps, so we crafted these two new Sandwich Wraps specifically for them," said Renae Scott, Chief Marketing Officer at Togo's, in a press release. “Portable, yet piled high with fresh, premium ingredients, Sandwich Wraps will be a hit with young guests and the on-the-go crowd looking for an affordable and filling meal."
Bacon Chicken Ranch Sandwich Wrap
Features preservative and antibiotic-free roasted chicken, Applewood smoked bacon, cheddar cheese, lettuce, and tomato. Drizzled with Buttermilk Ranch dressing, the item is finished by being tucked into a spinach wrap.
Spicy Asian Pork Sandwich Wrap
In the on-trend style of the Vietnamese Bahn Mi, this wrap combines pulled pork with a blend of carrots, cabbage, shredded lettuce, green onions and crisp cucumbers in a spinach wrap. Spice is then added with both jalapeños and Togo's Asian dressing.
Togo’s announcement comes on the heels of competitor Subway revealing they are nixing their popular $5 footlong campaign. According to Subway, the move was due to how the company’s “costs have gone up greatly” since the launch of the campaign in 2007. Now, with Subway’s footlong subs being priced at $6 each, Togo’s may have seen this as its window to strike back at one of its biggest adversaries.
