Fans of online ordering platform Harris Teeter have a new feature to try out thanks to a new partnership between the retailer and UberRUSH.
Previously a pick-up service only, Harris Teeter hopes to now deliver on home service options.
“Harris Teeter is excited to enhance the online ordering process by offering home delivery,” said Harris Teeter Communication’s Manager, Danna Robinson, in a press release. “UberRUSH delivery will help us reach our customers where they are by making the grocery shopping experience even more convenient.”
Harris Teeter’s online shopping tool now allows users to select “delivery” or “pick-up” when checking out. Delivery orders will dispatch an UberRUSH driver to collect the order and transport it directly to the customer.
Similar to the real-time updates which Uber customers are already accustomed, users of Harris Teeter delivery will be able to watch the entire in-motion process of their expected groceries.
The Harris Teeter and UberRUSH partnership is currently in its pilot phase, with home delivery options only available to mobile users within a five-mile radius of Harris Teeter’s Constitution Square location in Washington D.C.
