Kroger has announced a big move to the Michigan market with plans to invest $180 million in revamps to its existing locations, new stores, and around 1,000 new jobs. The company said that it expects growth in all margins for the coming year.
In plans outlaid by the company, Kroger states it will make the following improvements and install the listed new features, although no opening dates or sites have yet been provided:
In a recent written statement to the Lansing State Journal, President of Kroger Co. of Michigan, Jayne Homco, said “Last year was an incredible year of growth and innovation for The Kroger Co. of Michigan and we are excited to announce that we will exceed our 2015 accomplishments by every metric and measure in 2016.”
Kroger’s Marketplace is an extended supermarket concept which includes the offerings of appliances, office items, and home goods, in addition to grocery varieties.
