Stater Bros. Markets is kicking off January with a new President, having appointed longtime retail veteran George Frahm to the leadership role. With 45 years of experience to his name, the executive’s promotion will be effective January 15, 2018.
Frahm began his career with Stater Bros. as a clerk’s helper and janitor at the chain’s Glendora, California, location in 1973. He was promoted to Director of Labor Relations in 1995, then continued to rise through the ranks in the following positions:
Frahm now ascends to President from his most recent role as Executive Vice President Administration/Distribution.
As President, Frahm will report directly to Stater Bros. Chief Executive Officer Pete Van Helden.

Stater Bros. currently operates 171 supermarkets throughout Southern California, including San Bernardino and Riverside counties, with approximately 18,000 members of the Stater Bros. family.
