Forget breakfast–dinner is arguably the best meal of the day. What’s not to like about good food and company after a long day? But, according to a Walmart press release, nearly 80 percent of Americans still don’t know what they’re having for dinner by the time 4 P.M. rolls around every day. Hoping to cook up a solution, Walmart is launching new meal kits in more than 2,000 stores this year, so that consumers can cut hassle and indecision out of their weekly meal prep.
“Customers are busier than ever and we know getting a delicious dinner on the table can be a chore. We’re here to help,” said Tyler Lehr, Senior Vice President and General Merchandise Manager, Deli Services. “These delicious meals give the best or worst of cooks a fresh, easy option for dinner tonight, or later this week.”
Available in more than 250 stores and via Walmart’s Online Grocery Pickup, where customers can order online at lunch and pick up as soon as dinner time, the meal kits were developed and tested in the retailer’s Culinary and Innovation Center.
