Whole Foods Introduces New Cheese-Focused Concept

Whole Foods Market is taking its cheese expertise to a new level with the company’s latest “grocerant” concept; a new Whole Foods location opening next month in downtown Denver will be the first to feature an entire mac ’n’ cheese bar according to the Denver Post.

The new bar, which the news source describes as “a 4-foot-wide Promised Land of carbs and cheese,” will feature an array of mac options to appeal to a variety of shoppers; from a roasted tomato mac and cheese and vegan mac for the health conscious to a pulled pork BBQ mac for the more decadent foodie, Whole Foods’ new bar fits the bill.

News source Refinery29 notes playfully that “Creative foodies can add additional types of cheese, different kinds of meat, and even veggies for anyone who wants to ruin the perfection that is mac 'n' cheese.” And of course, a classic mac n’ cheese will anchor the more far-flung varieties.

Additionally, the new location will boast a 100-pound tower of cheese—hand cut to order by the retailer’s American Cheese Society Certified Cheese Professionals.
