Sbarro has just introduced a new pizza that celebrated the company’s Italian Roots: the Classic Italian Sausage & Peppers Pizza. This new pizza is inspired by the classic Italian sausage sub.
“We are mixing two Italian favorites into a classic we are sure our customers will love,” said Dwayne Adams, Sbarro’s VP of Culinary. “This hearty new recipe offers bold flavors that will keep the entire family satisfied.”
According to the company, this pizza has been created with a Sicilian sauce and a crust topped with sesame seeds to deliver the experience of a fresh sub. That is combined with roasted peppers, onions and Sbarro’s 100% whole milk mozzarella cheese on top of fresh, in-house dough.
Sbarro originally opened its doors as an Italian Salumeria in 1956 and has grown to more than 800 eateries across 33 countries.
The Classic Italian Sausage and Peppers Pizza will be available for purchase in participating eateries through January 4th.
