Applegate Launch Expands Reach

As a kid—and an adult—nothing is quite as relaxing as practicing one’s artistic skills with a good, old-fashioned coloring book. That is why Applegate has decided to launch its “Back to…Something” coloring book and virtual lunch trade for children and parents who are evolving with the new at-home learning situation due to COVID-19. The coloring book will offer up several easy and nutritious recipes that kids can color while their parents can prepare the recipes for a quick healthy lunch.

The “Back to… Something” coloring book is free and easy to download on the organic meat brand’s website, and is filled with a plethora of activities to give kids a fun extracurricular activity, according to a press release. The activities also provide a creative way to introduce children to healthy eating vocabulary as well as essential cooking terms, thereby inspiring the future chefs of the world.

Applegate included a variety of tasty recipes in its newest fun-filled coloring book, including Mini Italian Subs, Lunch Kebobs, Eat the Rainbow Turkey Sandwich, and a Design Your Own Bento Box. All recipes are easy to prepare, taking some of the challenge of the new at-home classroom environment out of parents' days.

To add to its newest launch, Applegate is also incorporating a social media sweepstakes to reintroduce an important facet of the traditional school environment: the lunch trade. To bring back some semblance of normalcy, on September 8, Applegate held the virtual lunch trade where parents could send in pictures of what their kids are enjoying for lunch for a chance to win a one-month supply of Applegate products, including Oven Roasted Turkey Breast, Genoa Salami, and Cheddar Cheese.

To win, participants can enter the Applegate Virtual Lunch Trade Sweepstakes by tagging the brand in their photos and using the hashtag #ApplegateTradeMe. For more details, click here.

While COVID-19 continues to challenge the norm, companies like Applegate are bringing the innovation that makes everyday a little bit less challenging. What other fun, new campaigns do brands have in store? Stay tuned with Deli Market News to find out.
