When Champignon North America announced it would be showing off the newest flavors within its Briette line of specialty cheeses during the Winter Fancy Food Show, we knew we would be back with an exclusive update diving into these exciting product innovations. In our latest exclusive video, Executive Vice President of Sales Mike Hatch discussed several new varieties sure to capture the hearts of consumers.

Mike Hatch, Executive Vice President of Sales, Champignon North America"Right now we’re working on our Briette line, which we launched a couple years ago," Mike explained. "We have several new varieties [of] flavored Bries. Briette is a tiny 4 1/2 oz. Brie. It has a longer shelf-life. We’re able to extend the shelf-life where you get a minimum of 90 days to first receiver, which is unheard of for a soft ripened cheese."

The first products in this lineup to make a splash in the market include Smoky and Dulce De Leche, which were both launched a couple of years ago. This year, the brand is adding multiple enticing flavors to the mix.

Tropical and Chai are the two newest flavors to join Champignon’s Briette lineup

"This year, we’re launching the Tropical, which is pineapple/mango and then the other one is a Chai. I call it like almost a breakfast cheese, something you would want to eat with a nice cappuccino or something," Mike added. "I think it’s important that retailers understand that this is a very approachable product for their consumers. It’s hitting the right price point. An approachable cheese at an approachable price."
