Food safety is without a doubt an integral part of the dairy industry, and to help members stay competitive, the Dairy Food Safety Alliance has announced its next meeting set for Tuesday, October 18, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. CT in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, or remotely via Zoom.
“The Dairy Food Safety Alliance offers dairy processors the timely information and practical resources they need to stay competitive amid a dynamic regulatory environment and evolving consumer preferences. It’s the best way to learn the latest in dairy food safety while strengthening your network,” said Wisconsin Cheese Makers Association Events Manager Kirsten Strohmenger.
The Dairy Food Safety Alliance is a partnership between the Center for Dairy Research (CDR), Dairy Farmers of Wisconsin (DFW), and Wisconsin Cheese Makers Association (WCMA), a release explained. Together, the groups offer practical presentations on the latest in food safety research and regulatory practices, and a chance for peers to connect.
This upcoming meeting will feature a presentation and industry panel on inspector observations in dairy plants, and consultants Jim Mueller and Larry Bell will share GMP updates and useful resources. Following their presentation, there will be an update from the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection.
