Our industry continues to raise the bar for bringing the expertise and love of by-hand cooking to the convenience offerings of retail, and leading the race is DePalo Foods.

Launching a new offering to add to its portfolio of high-quality baked goods, the company continues to bridge consumer kitchens with its specialty bakery roots.

Joseph Piraino, Sales Representative, DePalo Foods"This year we have a new style [of] stromboli. It's actually a ring style stromboli. It's a 10 oz bread with a 1.25 oz dipping sauce cup," Joseph Piraino, the company's Sales Representative, comments. "Already prepared, ready to take out of the box, and put it right in the case."

Joseph explains how the quality of the product is the stand-out feature differentiating it from any other, much of which is due to the love and care of the team's steps to make each offering.

"We make all of our dough fresh in-house. We slice our meats and cheeses daily to make the freshest possible product. And, to be honest, we hand-fold almost every calzone. It really adds that nice home-made quality to the product than most of our other competitors," Joseph explains.

Level with quality in terms of priorities, especially from a retail perspective, is consistency. This, Joseph points out, the company was able to prove under the most trying circumstances of the past few years.

"All through COVID, we had a lot of opportunity to have items readily available. These are really nice, that you can just put out, ready to grab-and-go," he concludes.
