Ethel’s Baking Co. is helping us kick off the week with a bevy of exciting news, as the brand has launched its new individually wrapped Turtle Dandy Dessert Bar, appointed two new executives, and expanded its retail distribution. The new product, which has been named a 2021 Natural Products Expo East NEXTY Award Finalist in the Best New Sweet or Dessert Category, is just the beginning of its exciting announcements.
“It is such an honor for our Turtle Dandy to be named a NEXTY Award finalist among so many other new and innovative products,” said Chief Executive Officer and Founder Jill Bommarito.
The Turtle Dandy joins a line of single-serve dessert bars that Ethel’s released earlier this year, including its Pecan Dandy, Cinnamon Crumble, Raspberry Crumble, and Blondie Bars. As Ethel’s expands its offerings, the company is also positioning itself for future growth, a press release explained.
“I am so excited about the momentum that has been building for Ethel’s as we add new offerings, expand our leadership team, and grow our retail distribution throughout the U.S. and Canada,” said Bommarito. “In our new, 20,000-square-foot, dedicated gluten-free facility in Michigan, we continue to take great care in crafting every batch of our dessert bars, layering them by hand with premium and local ingredients.”

Ethel’s has also expanded its retail distribution as of late, building out its presence at Raley’s, Wegmans, Meijer, Jewel, The Fresh Market, and Earth Fare, as well as in multiple Whole Foods regions. The bars are now available in 3-bar packs and single-serve in more than 1,500 stores.
