Not one, not two, but three Fareway Stores have popped up in the Midwest. Fareway has put in work to expand its footprint, and shoppers will be eager to hit up their new store in LeClaire and Hull, Iowa, and Kansas City, Missouri.
On August 29, Fareway hosted a ribbon cutting and grand opening ceremony for its new store, located at 1301 Eagle Ridge Road in LeClaire. The company had renovated the approximately 18,000-square-foot space, which was a former Slagle’s store.
This store will be managed by Grocery Manager Jeremy Wight and Market Manager Justin Nielson.
“We are excited to join and serve the community of LeClaire,” commented Fareway Chief Executive Officer Reynolds W. Cramer in a press release. “We want to thank the community and local officials for their support in welcoming Fareway to LeClaire.”
A few days later, the company unveiled its newest Missouri store at 8606 NE 85th in Kansas City. The location will provide an approximately 8,700-square-foot Fareway Meat Market with a second-to-none, full-service butcher counter and only the best in fresh, highest-quality meat.
Fareway’s new Missouri meat market will be managed by Market Manager Jake Davidson and Deli Manager, Andy Schirm.
“We are excited to expand in the Kansas City area with the addition of a new meat market location,” said President Garrett S. Piklapp in a release. “Fareway is known for its best in fresh, high-quality meat, and full-service butcher counters, but this location will also offer a great grocery selection, prepared foods, and exceptional service for Northland area residents.”
Now, hold onto your hats, for Fareway went back to Iowa to host a groundbreaking ceremony on September 7 for a new store site in Hull. The new 10,600-square-foot location will be located at the SW corner of Highway 18 & Division Street.
“Communities depend on a local grocer to offer high quality products and unmatched service,” Cramer commented in a separate release. “We look forward to serving area residents of Hull and want to thank city staff and community leaders for helping make this project possible.”
Site work is set to begin, with anticipated construction completion in spring 2024.
