Expect some new, exciting things from Forever Cheese in the value-added sector, as the company has expanded its capabilities with the acquisition of Toano, Virginia-based Virginia Packing. With plans in place to expand within the current facility, the recent transaction bolsters the specialty provider’s ability to offer value-added services to its customers. This deal marks Forever Cheese’s second acquisition after acquiring WA Imports in 2023.
“Virginia Packing’s service offerings and experienced team are an incredible addition to the Forever Cheese platform, allowing us to offer new, in-demand capabilities for our supplier and customer partners,” said Tyler Hawes, Forever Cheese Chief Executive Officer.
Virginia Packing specializes in cured meat slicing, packing, and logistics services for premium domestic and international brands, a press release explained. Following the acquisition, Virginia Packing will continue operating out of Toano, VA and will offer the same services to its existing and new customers. Forever Cheese’s strategic acquisition of Virginia Packing will enable the brand to meet the rising demand for retail-ready and other solution-oriented products.
With this transaction, Forever Cheese now operates out of three facilities, located in Secaucus, New Jersey; Hebron, Illinois; and Toano.
