After returning from a vacation in Italy this summer, I miss the delicious flavors of the country’s signature products and dishes. To bring a little bit of Italy to the United States, Fratelli Beretta is the presenting sponsor of the New York City Wine & Food Festival’s (NYCWFF) Taste of Italy event, which will feature many different stands with chefs from various New York restaurants.
“We are looking forward to the delicious food that all the chefs will prepare and being able to meet different people while serving our amazing products,” says Kimberley Parrales, Marketing Manager. “We also hope to get Whoopi Goldberg, who will be in attendance, to visit our booth. Whoever decides to attend will not regret it. This will be like visiting little Italy with lots of food, giveaways, and entertainment.”
The event, Peroni’s Taste of Italy, is presented by Fratelli Beretta and will be hosted by Alex Guarnachelli and Scott Conant, featuring special guest Whoppi Goldberg. It will take place at Pier 86, home of the Intrepid Museum, on Friday, October 14, at 7:00 p.m. EST.
Fratelli has been a part of this event since 2018 and has sponsored previous private dinners and the APERTIVO signature event. During the pandemic, the supplier also sponsored virtual cooking classes showing participants how to create an authentic Italian antipasto platter.
At this year’s event, the company will be slicing prosciutto Di Capegna and serving samples of its new super snack, Salamini. Fratelli will also be hosting a pre-event reception for some of its buyers and influencers, making this a fantastic marketing opportunity for the brand.
“This event helps us bring awareness about our brand to the final consumer and chefs that might not know about our products or company. We get to work with some chefs around the city, and we love that they can try our products and include them as part of their menu,” adds Kimberley. “The NYCWFF team does a great job of exposing our brand as much as possible in the different activations. Seeing various well-known companies and our logo next to theirs’ brings us a sense of pride.”
In addition to supporting its marketing strategy, Fratelli’s sponsorship of this event also helps serve the community.
“The most important part is the impact we are doing in the community,” Kimberley explains. “One hundred percent of our sponsorship fee goes toward God’s Love We Deliver, a non-profit organization that cooks and delivers nutritious, medically tailored meals for people too sick to shop or cook for themselves. This is one of the main reasons we love to support the NYCWFF because they help others in need.”
If you want to enjoy a taste of Italy and feel good about it, make sure to attend this special event at this year’s NYCWFF.
