Few things can please your soul the way a pizza night with friends or family can. Greenleaf Foods is making this a reality for plant-based consumers, as it recently announced that its Field Roast Plant-Based Pepperoni and Chao Creamery Creamy Original Shreds will be available at Whole Foods Market, making the organic grocer the first national retailer to carry both products.

Now, shoppers can find both enticing products at one location, making it easier to collect all the ingredients for a perfect plant-based pizza night. Field Roast first launched its Plant-Based Pepperoni in January 2021 in the foodservice sector through a partnership with prominent Canada-based pizza chain Pizza Nova, before expanding distribution into additional foodservice partnerships and at retail, a press release noted. The mouthwatering plant-based innovation is crafted using fresh spices, including whole pieces of fennel, cracked black pepper, garlic, and paprika to deliver an authentic, bold pepperoni taste without conventional meat.

In addition to its plant-based pepperoni, Field Roast has also rolled out its Chao Creamery Creamy Original Shreds to the retailer’s locations, which are uniquely made with coconut-based ingredients and fermented tofu to deliver a buttery, umami bite. Chao Creamery Creamy Original Shreds were officially launched in 2020, and offer the same creamy experience as the brand’s Creamy Original Slices, which are also currently available at Whole Foods Market.
