HelloFresh Expands Menu Offerings

A new item, and recipes to match, will be hitting shelves—or stoops—of HelloFresh customers. The delivery company that has taken the convenience market by storm has added Pacific Seafood Columbia River Steelhead Trout to its portfolio with a selection of menu offerings, the first of which will start shipping to consumers nationwide Saturday, June 8.

Pacific Seafood Columbia River Steelhead Trout is raised on a Best Aquaculture Practices (BAP) certified farm and recognized by the Monterey Bay Aquarium with a Best Choice (green) designation, according to a press release.

The first recipe, Steelhead Trout Over Basil Parm Risotto with Burst Tomatoes, offers consumers a 45 minute creamy risotto swirled with Parmesan, lemon juice, and fresh basil, topped with the orange-fleshed fish.

The newest menu item is sustainably-sourced from a remote part of Washington’s Okanagan Highland on the Columbia River, offering a rich, mild flavor, heart-healthy omega-3 fatty acids.

This is a sensible move for the meal kit provider, which noted it is a leader in purveying sustainable seafood, even partnering with Monterey Bay Aquarium’s Seafood Watch® program since 2017.
