We are pleased to announce another executive appointment taking place in the retail sector. Kroger recently announced that it named Kate Mora as the new President of its mid-Atlantic division. She succeeds Lori Raya, who is retiring from the role.
In 2022, Mora initially joined the Kroger organization as Vice President on special assignment supporting End-to-End Fresh. Later, she transferred to the Michigan division where she held the title of VP of Merchandising, according to Virginia Business.
Prior to her time with Kroger, Mora served as an executive at Walmart for over 26 years. When she left the company in 2021, she held the title of VP of the mid-Atlantic region.
In this new role at Kroger, Mora will be based in Glen Allen, Virginia, where the retailer’s mid-Atlantic division is based.
“With more than 25 years of retail management and leadership experience, she is a proven leader and strategic thinker, with a history of operational excellence,” Valerie Jabbar, Senior Vice President of Retail Divisions for Kroger, said in a statement.
We wish the best of luck to Mora as she enters her new role!
