Laura Chenel's Manon Servouse Discusses New Label and Products

One of the North Bay’s most iconic chèvre brands introduced a new brand identity and new products. Laura Chenel dropped the possessive “s” and updated its label with a clean new look—both modern and traditional.

I spoke with Manon Servouse to learn more about the new look and the new products making their way onto shelves this year.

Manon Servouse, Brand Manager, Laura Chenel“This year at the Fancy Food Show, we’re celebrating our 40th anniversary,” Manon told me from the Winter Fancy Food Show floor this January, “and we are celebrating [by] doing a brand refresh.”

Manon told me that the new look both celebrates the company’s roots in Sonoma County and the legacy of Laura Chenel—who began making goat cheese in 1979. In addition to celebrating the company’s heritage, the new Laura Chenel label provides clever usage suggestions intended to grow the goat cheese category.
