As the desire for plant-based products continues to skyrocket, companies are working overtime to bring innovative new products to consumers. One such company is Melt Organic, well-known for its plant-based butters, but now breaking into the world of plant-based cheese.
The company recently introduced its new line of plant-based cheese spreads, which will be available in retail and foodservice formats in the summer of 2020.
The two new products include a Jalapeño Queso Dip and a Mozzarella Garlic Herb. Made with chickpeas, the spreads are non-dairy, non-GMO, organic, and deliver on an exceptionally cheesy taste. According to a press release, these spreads will soon be accompanied by Cheddar and Mozzarella hard cheeses as well as spreads later this year.
