With excellent products usually comes national growth, as is the case with North Country Smokehouse. We recently connected with Joe Quijano, Regional Sales Manager, to learn how the brand continues to level up its market success.
“We're really showcasing our retail items. For us, we've really specialized in the organic and certified humane space. Over the last couple of years, we've seen tremendous growth in bacon, sausage, and deli meats,” Joe explained. “Last year at the New York Fancy Food Show, [we] won an award for best new item in the meat and poultry category for our thick-cut certified humane bacon. So we're really excited to be showcasing that item.”
A unique differentiator for North Country Smokehouse is that the company utilizes a fully vertically integrated program. This allows the supplier to control all aspects of its production.
“Our parent company raises all our animals,” Joe continued. “We get our supply from our parent company to our facility in New Hampshire, where we then make all our finished products.”
