As the International Dairy Deli Bakery Association’s (IDDBA) annual expo arrives, having a plan when you hit the busy show floor is crucial. As you strategize, settle in for the many exciting debuts of product and people at Point Reyes Farmstead Cheese.
“We are showing our Quinta—Point Reyes’ newest cheese,” Connie Concon, National Sales Director, recently told me. Quinta is a soft-ripened, bloomy rind cheese now offered in two sizes, 10 oz and 5 oz wheels.
Joining Quinta in Point Reyes’ IDDBA unveilings are new packaging and refreshed labels for its award-winning line of Italian-inspired Toma, TomaTruffle, TomaProvence, and TomaRashi.
“We are very excited about our new Toma refreshed labels that provide easy tips for the consumer and retailer,” Connie shared, explaining that the color band is designed to pop in the case and make the milk stand out. “This attractive, eye-catching design symbolizes quality and freshness from the farm. We have provided easy-to-read pairing and application suggestions on the front label and invested in the QR codes on the back of each SKU directing the consumer to seasonal recipes and stories from the farm. These offerings for more learn, pair, and cook options align with our digital and social media initiatives as well.”
As customers buy with their values and quality in mind, Point Reyes is zeroing in on demand for specialty cheese from companies that invest and demonstrate sustainability in everything from climate practices, carbon footprint, transparency, and more, along with diversification.
“Point Reyes is proud to say we are a certified Women Owned Company, and we continue to grow our sales team. We are happy to welcome Erin Clancy, ACS CCP, as our new Midwest Sales and Business Development Manager as we prepare to go to IDDBA,” Connie concluded.
